Welcome to Janda Diner, where we anything but your average Malaysian restaurant. We kicked things off as a pop-up at our awesome friend Sandra's pub, The Man of Kent in Nunhead, and now we’ve transformed it into a cozy little spot right in the heart of Peckham.
Here, you can dig into both classic Malaysian dishes and some fun, creative twists. Our Head Chef and owner, Ady Yacob, is the genius behind it all. With a Grand Diplôme from Cordon Bleu and a huge love for his home cuisine, Ady teamed up with his buddy Lanny to bring you a dining experience that’s truly one of a kind.
So, what’s with the name ‘Janda’? It means female divorcee in Malay. Some folks might wonder why we chose it, but us, it’s all about freedom and empowerment, not judgment. It’s about being proud of who you are and celebrating life. We really hope that passion shines through in our food and service!
Our goal? To serve up modern Malaysian dishes with flair and create a fun, celebratory vibe. We want every night at Janda to feel special.
